Shif Mobility has launched its latest electric scooter model, the SWAN Folding Electric Scooter, in Europe. The scooter features an innovative folding mechanism for its aluminum frame, making it easy to transport. The unique design allows the back tire to lift towards the handlebars, enabling users to carry the scooter using the front wheel and two small wheels fixed to the baseboard.
One of the standout features of the SWAN scooter is its 16-inch wheels, which provide enhanced stability during rides. Despite the larger tires, the scooter remains lightweight at 14.5 kg (~32.0 lbs). The scooter is powered by a 250W motor with 400W peak power and 36Nm torque. It features a 10 Ah quick-release battery that offers a range of up to 35 km (~22 miles) on a single charge, with a recharge time of three to five hours.
The SWAN scooter is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes, front and rear lights, and an integrated display showing distance traveled and remaining battery level. However, it lacks any form of suspension, which may impact ride comfort on uneven terrain.
Available in black, dark grey, and white, each with light blue design accents, the SWAN Folding Electric Scooter retails for €2,149 in Europe, positioning it as a premium offering in the market. There is no information yet on whether the company plans to launch the scooter in other regions, such as North America.
