Despite Shanghai, the city where its headquarters are located, went into lockdown due to Covid-19, NIO added a total of 34 battery swap stations in May.
With the addition of 34 new battery swap stations in May, there are 949 in total, with 245 of them located along highways, according to information shared on its mobile app.
NIO added 37 supercharging stations in May 2022, bringing the total to 820 with 4,514 charging piles. It also added 20 destination charging stations, bringing the total to 712 and providing 4,098 charging piles.

It added 10,000 third-party charging piles in May, bringing the total number of third-party charging piles with access to over 500,000.
In May, NIO added one NIO House, three NIO Spaces, one service center, one authorized service center, and two dispatch centers.
Regarding the shanghai lockdown, NIO said that its operations in Shanghai are gradually starting to return to normal.

Shipments of its vehicles in Shanghai have begun on June 2, and the vehicles have been delivered from the JAC-NIO factory in Hefei, central China’s Anhui province.
