Maxus calls the MIFA 9 the world’s first full-size MPV electric car. Indeed, as a full-size MPV, the Maxus MIFA 9 is prepared to block large MPVs such as the Toyota Alphard, Hyundai Staria, and Kia Grand Carnival.
What are the specifications like? Starting from the dimensions, the MIFA 9 has a body with a length of 5,270 mm, a width of 2,000 mm, a height of 1,840 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,200 mm.
In comparison, the MIFA 9 has a body length and wheelbase that is quite close to the Hyundai Staria and certainly longer than the Alphard.
With this large body, the Maxus MIFA 9 comes in two seating configurations, namely 7-seater and 8-seater.
Regarding performance, the Maxus MIFA 9 is equipped with an electric motor that drives the front wheels with a power of 180 kW or 244 hp and a torque of 350 Nm. This electric motor delivers power from a Lithium-ion battery from CATL with a capacity of 90 kWh.
Maxus claims that in one full charge, MIFA 9 can cover a distance of 520 kilometers according to the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).
Regarding features, the Maxus MIFA 9 offers many luxurious features such as captain seats with electric settings, seat heating, and massage functions.
Not to forget there is a rear-seat entertainment feature that is installed behind the driver’s and front passenger’s seats.
Oh yes, about smart features, Maxus MIFA 9 is equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) feature called UTOPILOT.
Maxus has not provided much information about UTOPILOT, but has revealed that this ADAS feature has Lane Change Assist, Narrow Road Assist, and Parking Assist functions.
