Volvo has provided a first look at what appears to be its next electric vehicle, the EX60, during the reveal of its ES90 model. The brief teaser suggests the EX60 will be positioned between the EX30 and EX90 in the automakerās EV lineup.
During the YouTube-streamed event on Wednesday, a clay model labeled “EX60” was briefly visible, showcasing a split-taillight design similar to other recent Volvo EVs. Based on scale, the EX60 appears to be sized between the compact EX30 and the three-row EX90.

Expected to debut in 2026, the EX60 is likely to use Volvoās upcoming SPA3 platform, which aims to improve scalability with mega castingsālarge single cast components designed to simplify vehicle construction.
Volvo has previously indicated plans to implement this manufacturing approach at its Torslanda plant in Sweden, where the XC60 is produced.

While SPA3 is expected to share core electrical architecture with the existing SPA2 platform used in the ES90 and EX90, it will likely incorporate Volvoās latest software-defined vehicle technology.
The ES90, which introduces 800-volt charging, is currently available for orders in Europe, though Volvo has not yet announced a U.S. launch timeline.
