Li Auto said it will officially launch an updated version of its Li Mega multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) at the Shanghai auto show, including a new variant called the Li Mega Home alongside the previously introduced Li Mega Ultra.
The company announced on social media that the Li Mega Ultra will go on sale at a starting price of RMB 529,800 ($72,350), consistent with the earlier pre-sale pricing. Li Auto also confirmed that deliveries of both variants will begin in May.

The Li Mega Home, described as a family-focused special edition, is aimed at large families and incorporates what the company calls its “latest thinking” on family vehicle scenarios. While pricing details for the Home variant were not disclosed, Li Auto’s website lists it above the Ultra, suggesting it will be priced lower.
The Li Mega, Li Auto’s first battery electric vehicle (BEV), was originally launched with a single variant known as the Max. It was later renamed to Ultra as part of a broader naming update. The MPV was initially priced at RMB 559,800, but the company cut the price by RMB 30,000 shortly after launch.
Li Auto said the updated Li Mega will feature enhancements in autonomous driving capabilities, replacing the previous dual Nvidia Orin-X chips with a single Thor-U chip. The vehicle will support the company’s next-generation autonomous driving system, known as MindVLA.

In addition to the Li Mega, Li Auto’s extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) lineup — including the Li L9, L8, L7, and L6 — will also receive upgrades to their smart driving hardware.
According to data compiled by CnEVPost, the Li Mega contributed 2.16% of the company’s total deliveries in 2024, with 10,798 units sold. In the first quarter of the year, it accounted for 2.59% of Li Auto’s deliveries, with 2,404 units sold.
