Hyundai Motor America has expanded its 2026 Tucson Hybrid lineup with the addition of a new Night AWD trim and two front-wheel-drive variants aimed at broadening the model’s appeal across different price points.

The new Tucson Hybrid Night AWD arrives as the flagship version of the range, while newly introduced SE and SEL front-wheel-drive trims reduce the hybrid SUV’s entry price to $30,950. Hyundai said the Night AWD is available at dealerships now.

Night AWD Adds Blacked-Out Styling Package

The Tucson Hybrid Night AWD is based on the Limited trim and carries a starting price of $44,175, including Hyundai’s $1,600 destination charge.

The model features a series of exterior styling enhancements centered around a blacked-out appearance. These include gloss-black 19-inch alloy wheels, gloss-black front and rear bumper fascia accents, black mirror caps and gloss-black window trim surrounds.

Inside, the Night trim adds a black headliner while retaining the Limited model’s premium equipment package.

Available exterior colors include Ash Black, Creamy White Pearl and Ecotronic Gray.

Premium Features Carried Over From Limited Trim

Because the Night AWD is built on the Tucson Hybrid Limited, it includes a range of comfort and technology features as standard.

Equipment includes leather-trimmed seats, onboard navigation, a 12-inch head-up display, a Bose premium audio system, a heated steering wheel and wireless smartphone charging.

Ricky Lao, Director of Product Planning at Hyundai Motor North America, said the new trim is intended to provide customers with a more distinctive version of the company’s best-selling SUV.

“We’re excited to add this Night trim to our Tucson lineup for buyers looking for a generously equipped Tucson Hybrid with an extra degree of differentiation,” Lao said.

“The Night trim’s blacked-out detailing brings an appealing element of shadowy sophistication to our best-selling SUV.”

New SE and SEL Variants Lower Entry Price

Alongside the Night AWD, Hyundai has introduced new front-wheel-drive SE and SEL versions of the Tucson Hybrid.

The company said the new trims are designed to provide more affordable access to the hybrid lineup. The SE starts at $30,950, while the SEL is priced from $32,400, excluding freight, taxes and registration fees.

Both models are equipped with Hyundai’s hybrid powertrain and an eight-speed automatic transmission featuring SHIFTRONIC manual shift control.

Hybrid Lineup Targets Broader Customer Base

The expansion of the Tucson Hybrid range reflects growing demand for hybrid sport utility vehicles across multiple price segments.

By adding both a premium appearance-focused flagship model and lower-cost entry variants, Hyundai aims to offer a wider range of choices for buyers seeking fuel-efficient SUVs without moving to a fully electric vehicle.
