Go Zero has partnered with Rolec to accelerate the rollout of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the United Kingdom’s hospitality and destination sectors, backed by a £100 million debt financing facility.
The collaboration will focus on installing multi-bay EV hubs at leisure destinations, hotels, resorts, and other venues. The financing will allow businesses to adopt charging solutions without upfront costs through Go Zero’s VendEx model, aiming to address a significant shortfall in destination charging options.

Industry data shows that although more than 1.3 million EVs are on UK roads, only 6% of city hotels currently offer charging facilities. With nearly 40% of new car registrations being plug-in models, demand for destination charging is growing among business commuters, families, and international visitors.
“The £100 million debt facility validates our strategy and allows us to deliver our current pipeline while expanding rapidly,” said Andy Taylor, CEO of Go Zero. “The partnership with Rolec ensures the faster installation of multi-bay EV hubs, bringing our vision of 10,000 sockets closer to reality.”

Rolec, which provides UK-based manufacturing, technical support, and a national partner network, said the partnership combines funding expertise with established hardware and software solutions. “This collaboration is a significant step in addressing the destination charging gap,” said Darren North, National Sales Manager at Rolec.
Go Zero said the initiative not only supports sustainability goals but also boosts visits, dwell time, and local spending for participating businesses. Several projects have already been completed, with more scheduled for rollout in the coming months.
