General Motors has expanded public charging access for its electric vehicle customers by integrating Electrify America’s fast-charging network into its myChevrolet, myGMC and myCadillac mobile applications, the company said.

The integration gives GM EV owners direct access to more than 5,000 Electrify America DC fast chargers nationwide, including Hyper-Fast stations capable of delivering up to 350 kilowatts. Drivers can locate stations, plan routes, monitor charging sessions and pay for charging within GM’s apps without downloading additional software or creating separate accounts.

“We’re collaborating across the industry to deliver not just more chargers, but better public charging experiences,” said Wade Sheffer, vice president of GM Energy. “Our work with Electrify America helps make public charging easier to access for GM EV drivers.”

GM said the new functionality is accessible through the Public Charging page in the myChevrolet, myGMC and myCadillac apps, providing real-time charger availability, navigation support and in-app payment. The move is aimed at reducing friction for drivers as automakers seek to simplify charging across fragmented public networks.

Electrify America operates what it describes as the largest open Hyper-Fast charging network in the United States, with stations across 47 states and the District of Columbia. The company said it has invested more than $2 billion in zero-emission vehicle charging infrastructure since its launch.

“Through this integration, GM EV drivers have more Hyper-Fast chargers to choose from and a seamless experience they can count on nationwide,” said Robert Barrosa.
