General Motors has completed the integration of ChargePoint into its Energy Pass charging platform, expanding public charging access for electric vehicle owners through the myChevrolet, myGMC and myCadillac mobile applications.

The addition allows GM electric vehicle drivers to access both DC fast chargers and Level 2 charging stations across ChargePoint’s network using the Energy Pass platform.

Many of the newly accessible charging locations also support Plug & Charge, enabling compatible vehicles to authenticate and begin charging automatically without requiring separate payment or activation steps.
According to GM, the expanded platform is expected to provide access to approximately 70% of DC fast chargers in the United States as planned network integrations are completed.
The ChargePoint integration also adds access to roughly 60% of the country’s public Level 2 charging stations, further expanding the charging options available through a single application.

Ongoing Infrastructure Collaboration
GM and ChargePoint have also been working together for more than a year to deploy additional public charging infrastructure in areas with limited charging availability.
The collaboration has added hundreds of fast-charging locations across states including Michigan, California, Florida, and New York.
Many of these sites feature ChargePoint’s Omniport technology, allowing both North American Charging Standard (NACS) and Combined Charging System (CCS1) connectors to operate from the same charging station.

Simplifying the Charging Experience
Energy Pass is designed to consolidate access to multiple charging networks through a single platform, reducing the need for drivers to manage separate applications and charging accounts.
GM said the platform supports its broader strategy of improving the public charging experience as electric vehicle adoption continues to grow.
By integrating additional charging networks into Energy Pass, the company aims to provide customers with broader charging access while simplifying public charging across the United States.
