ChargePoint has announced two new partnerships in the United States aimed at expanding public electric vehicle charging infrastructure, with projects planned across the Southeast and along major highways in Pennsylvania and New York.
The agreements include the deployment of more than 200 public charging ports through a partnership with Optimus Energy Solutions and the installation of ultra-fast charging stations at 12 highway travel plazas operated by Onvo.
More Than 200 Charging Ports Planned
ChargePoint said it has expanded its existing collaboration with Florida-based Optimus Energy Solutions, which will deploy more than 200 new public charging ports across the southeastern United States.
Under the agreement, ChargePoint will provide the charging hardware, software and related services, while Optimus will own and operate the charging locations.
The charging stations are planned for sites with high expected utilization, including quick-service restaurants and retail centers, where drivers can access charging alongside other amenities.

Highway Charging Expansion
ChargePoint also announced a separate partnership with travel plaza operator Onvo to expand charging infrastructure for long-distance travel.
The first phase of the project includes the installation of ChargePoint Express Plus ultra-fast charging systems at 12 Onvo travel centers located along major highways in Pennsylvania and New York.
According to the company, the charging systems are designed to support high-power charging while allowing multiple vehicles to charge simultaneously from a single installation.
The charging stations will be located alongside restaurants, retail outlets and convenience stores to provide additional services for drivers during charging sessions.
ChargePoint said the selected sites are intended to improve charging availability along highway corridors and address existing gaps in long-distance charging infrastructure.
Wilmer said the partnership supports the deployment of high-speed charging at highway travel stops.
