Geely Holding Group has reached an agreement with Renault to utilize the French automaker’s production facilities in Brazil for the manufacture and sale of zero- and low-emission vehicles. The partnership is part of Geely’s strategy to expand its presence in international markets.
As part of the agreement, Renault do Brasil will welcome Geely Holding as a minority shareholder, providing the Chinese automaker with access to localized production, sales, and service resources.

Production will take place at Renault Group’s Ayrton Senna Complex in São José dos Pinhais, Paraná, alongside Renault’s existing vehicle lineup. Renault do Brasil will also distribute Geely’s portfolio of electrified models in the country.
The partnership aims to strengthen both companies’ positions in the Brazilian market, which represents 44 percent of Latin America’s total vehicle sales. “Together, we have built trust and an effective working relationship. These are great assets that we want to leverage today with this new cooperation in Brazil,” said Renault Group CEO Luca de Meo.
