Italian electric motorcycle manufacturer, Energica, recently released a new electric-powered adventure motorcycle called Experia. This electric adventure motorbike made its global debut at the Mugello MotoGP last weekend. This electric adventure motorbike is claimed by Energica as an electric motorbike with the largest battery capacity today.
Available to order from June 1, the Experia runs on 17-inch road-focused wheels, with a luggage capacity of 112 liters. With the latest technology and batteries, this electric adventure motorbike is claimed to be capable of spewing power up to 101 bhp at 7500 rpm while the top speed is limited to 112 mph. Even though it has less power than the Kawasaki Versys 1000, the Experia has a maximum torque of 85 lb-ft.
In terms of features, the Experia is equipped with six-stage traction control, four driving modes, lean-sensitive Bosch ABS, and much more. The new Xperia is also claimed to have a lower center of gravity for greater control at low speeds.
The Experia’s power source comes from a combination of a motor and battery with a larger capacity, which is 22.5kWh, compared to the previous generation but has a less heavy weight. This battery can be charged from 0-80% at Level 3/DC Fast Charging in 40 minutes with a top speed of 24kW. This battery is claimed to be able to reach a distance of 153 miles, or 261 miles in urban areas in a full state.
Energica itself in the near future will tell how much the price of this adventure electric motorcycle. However, it is estimated that the price could reach 700 million rupiah.
