Estonia-based charge point operator Eleport is accelerating its European expansion with a strategic push into Croatia and Slovenia, supported by a new partnership with software provider Ampeco and a major infrastructure rollout across the Balkans and Central Europe.
As part of the plan, Eleport will launch a new unified charging app in partnership with Ampeco in summer 2025, starting in Croatia. The app will offer search tools, flexible pricing, session summaries, and a consistent user experience across borders. The initiative aims to simplify cross-border travel by enabling electric vehicle (EV) drivers to charge from the Baltic to the Adriatic Sea using a single digital platform.
“It enables us to deliver the same seamless and fast charging experience in every country where we operate… With a single app and unified platform, EV drivers can now travel across borders with ease,” said Eleport CEO Jakub Miller. The company’s current network includes Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovenia, and Croatia, with further markets expected to come online later this year.
The app announcement coincides with Eleport’s ongoing infrastructure expansion. Croatia will soon host the company’s largest charging hub to date, located in Zadar, capable of simultaneously charging up to 12 EVs. This follows Eleport’s 2024 acquisition of Austrian firm TurboVolt, a move that strengthened its regional presence.
In partnership with retail developer Supernova Group, Eleport will install up to 200 ultra-fast chargers at 30 commercial locations across Croatia and Slovenia. The rollout begins in mid-2025 with installations at six locations, including Supernova Garden Mall, Branimir Mingle Mall in Croatia, and Supernova Ljubljana Rudnik in Slovenia. Nearly all new chargers—98 percent—will be 400kW DC units, designed to accommodate the latest high-performance EVs.
The developments reinforce Eleport’s strategy of becoming a dominant EV charging provider across Central and Eastern Europe. The company, which began in the Baltics, is now scaling up to offer high-capacity, cross-border charging networks tailored to both retail hubs and long-distance travel corridors.
