British automaker Jaguar is poised to unveil a compelling range of all-new, all-electric vehicles following 2025, according to a report by Autocar, a trusted source in the automotive industry. The forthcoming lineup will feature a revamped Jaguar XJ sedan, a zero-emissions SUV comparable in size to the Bentley Bentayga, and a distinctive four-seat grand tourer. All three vehicles will be underpinned by the advanced JEA electric vehicle architecture, exclusively designed for Jaguar models, differentiating them from the upcoming Range Rover EV which will utilize the MLA platform.

The trio of new electric vehicles is anticipated to offer a blend of performance, luxury, and cutting-edge technology. An integral aspect of their design is the incorporation of all-wheel drive, four-wheel steering, and rapid DC fast charging capabilities, enabling an impressive 10 to 80 percent battery recharge within a mere 13 minutes. Early details suggest these vehicles will boast a minimum power output of 450 horsepower, with acceleration from 0 to 62 miles per hour expected to occur between 3 and 3.8 seconds. Moreover, their maximum speed is projected to reach 155 mph, while driving ranges on a full charge are estimated to span from 385 to 475 miles.

One striking departure revealed by Autocar’s insightful report is the transformation of Jaguar’s iconic emblem. The familiar leaping cat insignia will make way for a fresh approach, with the automaker’s name elegantly spelled out across the front and rear of the vehicles in a new, bespoke font. This design evolution mirrors the approach adopted by Land Rover for its own lineup.

Gerry McGovern, Chief Creative Officer at Jaguar, emphasized the seismic transformation awaiting the brand. The imminent introduction of the JEA platform will signal a distinct departure from Jaguar’s current design ethos. McGovern asserted that the forthcoming models will be characterized by a profound aesthetic divergence, marking a clear departure from both past and present.

Autocar’s report further delves into the distinctive design of the upcoming Jaguar XJ sedan, likened to a BMW i7 contender. A minimalist and avant-garde appearance is envisioned, free from overt influences of prior models. This modernist approach extends to the vehicle’s interior as well, promising a departure from conventional designs.

One particularly remarkable innovation, akin to the Polestar 5, is the absence of a rear window across all three forthcoming models. In its place, a cutting-edge solution involving a video camera and a live feed projected onto a digital mirror at the base of the windshield will enhance visibility and driver experience.

The grand tourer variant is anticipated to be unveiled in late 2024, with sales commencing in 2025. However, specifics regarding the launch dates of the SUV and the XJ replacement remain undisclosed by Jaguar at this juncture.

The impending launch of the new generation of Jaguar electric vehicles will mark the retirement of the existing lineup, including the all-electric I-Pace.
