Elon Musk just made the latest comments regarding the Cybertruck. In the comments, Cybertruck development will be completed this year and will start mass production in 2023.

Comments about the Cybertruck came from CEO Elon Musk at the opening ceremony of the Berlin Gigafactory, Electrek reported.

On that occasion, Musk was asked by an employee about Tesla’s short-term plans, Elon Musk replied, “We want to complete development of the Cybertruck this year and be ready for production next year.”

Elon Musk said Tesla’s focus this year will be on increasing production of their current electric vehicles, particularly the Model Y and Model 3.

When first introduced by Elon Musk in 2019, the Cybertruck was said to be hitting the market by the end of 2021. However, it has been delayed until now. Cybertruck had become the talk of the world when it was first introduced because of its advanced features and futuristic design.

Cybertruck competitors such as the Rivian R1T and the GMC Hummer EV have already started to be sold to consumers. Meanwhile, the Ford F-150 Lightning will be delivered for the first time.
