Tesla, recalled their 947 production vehicles due to delays in the rearview image display. In a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) report the rear view image may not be displayed immediately when the car is moving backwards.

The recall covers Model S, Model X, and Model 3 vehicles from 2018-2019 that are equipped with Autopilot Computer 2.5 and running certain firmware.

In a Reuters report on Saturday, March 26, 2022, the 947 vehicles did not comply with rear visibility safety standards. To solve this problem, Tesla will carry out an over-the-air software update to solve the problem.

According to NHTSA, image delay on the rear camera can increase the risk of an accident. This is the latest of several recalls Tesla has made in recent months.

In February, Tesla recalled 578,607 cars in the United States because the Boombox feature was problematic. The electric cars being recalled are the 2017-2022 Tesla Model S, Tesla Model X, and Model Y as well as the 2020-2022 Model 3.

In Decembaer, Tesla recalled nearly 500,000 of its electric cars because of a problem with the trunk that increases the risk of a crash.
