Curo and SWTCH have formed a strategic partnership to improve access to electric vehicle (EV) charging for commercial fleets and increase the utilization of existing infrastructure across North America. The companies plan to combine their platforms and networks to support property owners in expanding charging availability while providing fleets with more reliable and distributed charging options.
Kieran White, CEO and co-founder of Curo, said the collaboration with SWTCH’s open network allows property owners to maximise returns on investment while ensuring fleets have quicker access to the resources they need. The joint initiative is aimed at resolving two persistent issues in the sector: lack of charging access for fleet operators and the underuse of installed charging assets.
Curo operates as a platform that helps commercial fleets lease EV and parking infrastructure. Active in 14 U.S. states, the company manages over 200 vehicles operating daily from a virtual depot model, which offers immediate access to scalable charging without requiring long construction timelines. SWTCH, meanwhile, focuses on open network solutions for charging management and deployment, enabling interoperability across multiple systems.
The partnership is expected to provide property owners with improved monetization of their assets, potentially increasing revenue from charging stations by several times. For fleet operators, it offers an opportunity to electrify operations more quickly through instant access to infrastructure and streamlined parking and charging leases.
