Consumers Protest Against Tesla Because Mobile Connector is No Longer Free

Tesla recently received strong criticism from consumers for a decision that was deemed too detrimental. This was triggered by Tesla’s actions that no longer provide car connectors or Mobile Connectors in every Tesla car that consumers buy.

Previously, every purchase of an automatic Tesla electric car came with a set of mobile connectors. The tool is useful for Tesla car owners who do not have a Tesla Wall Connector or portable recharging station that is usually installed at home. Through the mobile connector, Tesla car owners can recharge via an electrical plug at home.

It’s just that Tesla is no longer giving away the mobile connector for free. For those who want to pay USD 400. No wonder many Tesla owners do not like this decision.

One of them is Dave Lee, a Tesla investor who posted a tweet on Twitter asking the Elon Musk-led company to rethink its mobile connector policy. “I hope that car connectors will still become standard accessories that consumers will immediately accept,” he wrote.

The consideration is that there are still many users who do not have a Tesla Wall Connector which is very expensive. In addition, there are some areas that are not covered by the supporting infrastructure for electric cars. So the mobile connector is still needed.

It’s just that Elon Musk still thinks otherwise. In a tweet on Twitter, the man whose birthday is on June 28 said that based on the data they have, the use of connector cars is very low. So that made them decide to no longer give away free mobile connectors.
