As the largest electric vehicle manufacturer in the world, Tesla continues to score brilliant sales figures. One of the achievements of the company from the United States is that they have almost doubled their electric car sales in China.

This is based on sales data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) based on the period March 2022. Of the total sales of electric cars, they recorded results that were beyond expectations.

The Tesla factory in Shanghai has indeed been focused on meeting the needs of domestic consumers. However, they also continue to serve export needs even in small quantities.

Through the data released, Tesla managed to sell as many as 65,814 units or almost scored a double increase compared to the same period in the previous year.

While in March 2021, they only packed 35,478 units. Where for export needs, they only reported as many as 60 vehicles.

Talking about its production capacity, Tesla’s first factory outside the United States is capable of producing 450,000 units. However, they managed to exceed this target because throughout 2021, they succeeded in producing 484,130 vehicles. This total represents 51.7 percent of Tesla’s total production with a total production of 936,000 vehicles.

When compared with the last two months in 2022, sales during January only recorded 59,845 units and February 56,615 units. That way, the cumulative sales of Tesla in China at the beginning of the year had reached 182,274 units.
