Larger Battery Extends Electric Range
Both versions use a 50 kWh BYD Blade Battery, significantly larger than the 26.6 kWh and 35.6 kWh packs offered in previous Tai 7 DM variants.
The earlier versions provided CLTC electric ranges between 135 km and 200 km. The new models have combined CLTC ranges of up to 1,470 km for the rear-wheel-drive version and 1,310 km for the four-wheel-drive model when using a full battery and fuel tank.

The Tai 7 DM retains a 1.5T plug-in hybrid powertrain. The engine produces up to 115 kW, while the rear-wheel-drive model uses a 200 kW electric motor.
The four-wheel-drive Ultra combines two electric motors with a total output of 360 kW. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds.
