Avatr has officially launched the Avatr 06, its second all-electric sedan, at a starting price of RMB 209,900 ($28,750), following a pre-sale phase last month. The new model is available in five variantsâtwo extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs) and three battery electric vehicles (BEVs)âwith pricing that undercuts earlier estimates.
With a length of 4,855 mm and a wheelbase of 2,940 mm, the Avatr 06 is larger than Teslaâs Model 3 in key dimensions, positioning it as a spacious five-seater sedan. It becomes the third model in Avatrâs portfolio to offer both EREV and BEV variants, after the Avatr 07 SUV and the updated Avatr 11 crossover.

The EREV versions of the Avatr 06 are rear-wheel drive models powered by a single electric motor delivering 231 kW of peak power and 367 Nm of torque, capable of 0â100 km/h acceleration in 6.6 seconds. These variants feature a 1.5T engine as a range extender and use a 31.7-kWh Freevoy Battery from CATL, providing 230 km of CLTC-rated battery range and a total combined range of 1,190 km.
The BEV lineup includes two rear-wheel drive models and one high-performance all-wheel drive variant. The single-motor BEVs offer 252 kW of power and 365 Nm of torque, reaching 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds, while the dual-motor version achieves the same in 3.9 seconds. All BEV variants use CATLâs Shenxing Battery with a capacity of 72.88 kWh, offering CLTC ranges of up to 650 km and supporting rapid charging capabilities.
