Mercedes Benz has just unveiled its new business strategy which will divide the product lineup into several categories, such as high-end luxury cars, mid-range luxury cars, and entry-level luxury cars or affordable luxury cars. Kawasaki seems to be presenting an electric motorcycle sooner than expected. Through a Twitter post from Kawasaki USA dated May 19, 2022, the company shared a video with the caption “Good Time is Electric, Wait for June 7th. The Volkswagen ID.4 GTX driven by Rainer Zietlow and his Challenge4 team broke the Guinness World Record for the highest altitude (5,816 meters) achieved by an electric vehicle. The previous record was set in 2020 with a height of 5,771 meters. On 18 May 2022 Zietlow drove a Volkswagen ID.4 GTX to the top of Bolivia’s Uturuncu volcano at 5,816 meters above sea level. Formula E has a uniqueness that other racing events do not have. Formula E features Attack Mode and Fanboost that can help drivers perform overtaking actions on the track. BMW is developing a special platform for its future line-up of electric cars. The platform was named BMW Neue Klasse. Recently, Oliver Zipse as CEO of BMW gave several statements regarding his new EV platform, at the annual meeting of BMW shareholders. According to Zipse, BMW’s EV platform will make BMW electric cars cheaper, to a level similar to that of BMW’s ICE engines. The Mercedes-AMG motorsport division recently introduced the GT 63 S E Performance. This time, they presented a special edition of this car called the F1 Edition. This special edition does take direct inspiration from the F1 racing event where there are several additional options included in the visual package of the car. Mercedes plans to build electric vehicles with the latest architecture, namely the MMA Platform (Mercedes Modular Architecture) starting in 2024. The release of this platform will signal a change in the Mercedes lineup. The MMA (Mercedes Modular Architecture) platform will support the A-Class and C-Class electric vehicles. One of the advantages of the MMA Platform is the larger battery power but still compact size.
