Chinese electric vehicle maker Xpeng is preparing an extended-range version of its G6 SUV, the G6 EREV, according to a filing with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The regulatory documents provide specifications ahead of the model’s expected market introduction later this year. The G6 EREV will feature a 55.8 kWh battery pack capable of delivering 325 km of electric-only range under WTLC standards. Geely Auto’s sub-brand Geely Galaxy is expanding production capacity by renovating the former SAIC-GM Beisheng plant in Shenyang, Liaoning province, as the lineup experiences strong sales growth.
