AmpUp and Tritium have teamed up to introduce an innovative fast-charging station upgrade program aimed at modernizing DC fast-charging infrastructure across North America. The program allows existing Tritium RT50 owners to integrate their stations into the AmpUp network, offering several upgrade options for a seamless transition to advanced charging capabilities.

The upgrade program ensures easy network integration for Tritium RT50 owners, with minimal disruption during the process. Owners can opt to exchange their RT50 chargers for the new 50kW DC fast charger, which features dual charging capabilities, universal compatibility, and an extensive warranty. AmpUp also prioritizes sustainability, providing responsible recycling of the RT50 chargers to reduce environmental impact. Additionally, the new RTM charger is designed to fit onto the existing RT50 pad, making installation quick and hassle-free.

The program follows a two-phase approach. Phase One focuses on integrating existing Tritium stations into the AmpUp network, while Phase Two offers a range of upgrade options for current RT50 owners, providing them with a future-proof solution for evolving charging needs.

Dimitrios Papadogonas, VP of global marketing and communications at Tritium, emphasized the significance of the collaboration, saying, “We recognize the importance of working with partners like AmpUp to advance the EV charging ecosystem. This collaboration ensures charging station owners can smoothly adapt to evolving market conditions while maintaining reliable service for EV drivers.”

Tom Sun, co-founder and CEO of AmpUp, highlighted the program’s benefits for EV infrastructure, stating, “This program demonstrates AmpUp’s commitment to simplifying the EV charging experience for everyone. By streamlining network integration and offering compelling upgrade options, we empower existing Tritium owners to unlock the full potential of their charging infrastructure.”
