Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, expressed his appreciation for the company’s impressive performance in 2023, following the release of delivery and production results. On Tuesday, Tesla reported reaching its 2023 delivery guidance, achieving record-breaking numbers with 1,808,581 units delivered and 1,845,985 produced.
Taking to X hours later, Musk extended congratulations to the Tesla team for their outstanding achievements in both the fourth quarter and the entire year of 2023. Musk has a history of acknowledging and thanking Tesla employees during significant milestones and hectic delivery periods.

In Q4 alone, Tesla delivered 484,507 units and produced 494,989, with the majority comprised of Model Y and Model 3 sales. Notably, Tesla chose to present combined figures for ‘Model 3/Y’ and ‘Other Models,’ prompting some to seek more detailed insights into Cybertruck deliveries since its November launch.

While the third quarter saw a slight dip in deliveries due to anticipated factory upgrades, Tesla’s Q4 performance helped it surpass full-year forecasts. The 2023 figures revealed a 38-percent YoY increase in deliveries and a 35-percent increase in production compared to 2022.

Despite challenges and periodic fluctuations, Tesla’s overall delivery and production growth has been evident, with 2022 witnessing a 40-percent YoY increase in deliveries (1,313,851 vehicles) and a 47-percent YoY increase in production (1,369,611 vehicles).
