European electric truck charging network operator Milence announced plans to implement market-oriented, country-specific pricing across its network beginning 1 January 2026. The change marks a departure from the uniform pricing previously applied in eurozone countries.
The joint venture between Daimler Truck, Traton and the Volvo Group currently operates 30 public fast-charging stations across eight European countries, including ten in France. Previously, customers in eurozone countries paid a flat rate of 0.399 euros per kilowatt-hour, with different prices applied in the United Kingdom and some other non-eurozone markets. Under the new model, tariffs will vary by country to reflect local energy costs, taxes, and grid fees, while contractual partner rates may remain unchanged.
“Electrifying Europe’s road freight requires more than individual charging sites, it demands availability across key transport corridors, reliability and economic viability. With our expanding network in France, where we already cover significant routes, and across other key European markets, Milence empowers fleets to transition to electric transport with confidence. Our competitive pricing model reflects real market conditions, supports early movers, and creates the right enabling environment,” said Roel Vissers, Chief Commercial Officer at Milence.
Prices under the new system will range from 0.339 euros/kWh in Spain and France to 0.399 euros/kWh in Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands. Denmark and Sweden will see higher rates, at 2.799 DKK/kWh and 3.699 SEK/kWh respectively. The United Kingdom will maintain a rate of 0.399 pounds/kWh.
