Geely Auto has launched the 2026 Xingyuan, an updated version of its popular compact electric vehicle (EV), with a limited-time starting price of RMB 65,800 ($9,240). The move positions the Xingyuan among the most affordable EVs currently available in China.
The new model is offered in six variants, with guide prices ranging from RMB 68,800 to RMB 98,800. A RMB 3,000 trade-in subsidy for orders placed before October 31 effectively reduces the starting price to RMB 65,800. The Xingyuan measures 4,135 mm long, 1,805 mm wide, and 1,570 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm.

The vehicle is powered by a rear-mounted single motor producing 58 kW (78 hp) and features lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries from CATL in capacities of 30.12 kWh or 40.16 kWh, offering ranges of 310 km or 410 km. Peak charging power of 1.66C enables a charge from 30 to 80 percent in 21 minutes.
The Xingyuan is positioned to compete with BYD’s Seagull and Dolphin models, offering pricing similar to the Seagull while providing comparable size and range to the higher-end Dolphin. The model is part of Geely’s Geely Galaxy sub-brand, which has seen strong sales growth over the past year.
