Electric Era has rolled out a new charging station network aimed at improving accessibility and reliability for electric vehicle (EV) drivers across the United States. The initiative is designed to make its high-performance DC fast chargers more visible on major navigation platforms, while also supporting retailers seeking to attract EV customers.
The company’s chargers, which have achieved a 96% positive rating on PlugShare along with 90% session reliability and 98% per-port uptime, are now easier to locate under the Electric Era brand rather than only through retail partners. The network is already discoverable on PlugShare and Google Maps, with integration into additional platforms such as Hubject and WEX fleet management expected soon. Tesla has also added Electric Era locations into its Third Party Charging program, citing the company’s high reliability standards.
By making chargers visible across digital mapping systems, Electric Era aims to simplify access for drivers who previously struggled to identify locations when units were branded under retail partners such as Costco Wholesale, Plaid Pantry, and Skycharger. The company expects automakers including Ford Motor, Rivian, and General Motors to incorporate its stations into vehicle navigation systems, further enhancing convenience for EV owners.
A focus on engineering expertise underpins the network’s development. Built by former engineers from SpaceX, Starlink, Blue Origin, and Amazon’s Project Kuiper, the chargers employ automated fault detection and over-the-air repair capabilities, reducing downtime and ensuring continuous service. This design approach, modeled on aerospace practices, has enabled the company to achieve uptime commitments of 98.5% or higher, reinforced by financial guarantees.
User-friendly features such as tap-and-pay functionality without requiring specialized apps, 200 kW charging capacity, and dual compatibility with CCS and NACS cables position the network as a competitive option for drivers seeking both speed and simplicity. Customer feedback reflects this, with high rates of repeat use and positive reviews highlighting ease of operation and reliability.
For retailers, the Electric Era Charging Station Network represents an opportunity to draw in EV drivers and foster brand loyalty at a time when electric adoption is rising. Level-3 charging at commercial sites not only increases foot traffic but also strengthens customer engagement, particularly among affluent EV owners.
By combining visibility, reliability, and integration with leading digital platforms, Electric Era’s new network underscores its goal of delivering a resilient charging infrastructure to support the growing EV market.
