Tesla just announced its first-quarter vehicle production and delivery numbers report for 2022.
In its report, in total, in the first quarter of 2022, Tesla produced a total of 305,407 vehicles and delivered 310,048 vehicles.
For comparison, in the first quarter of last year, Tesla delivered 184,800 vehicles and produced 180,338 vehicles.
By vehicle type, Model 3 and Model Y accounted for 95% of total deliveries, or 295,324. Model S and Model X accounted for 5% of total shipments, or 14,724.
The production and sales report is seen as a positive move for Tesla due to several semiconductor supply problems and production restrictions at the Shanghai Gigafactory due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Last month, the Shanghai Gigafactory had two production shutdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On the other hand, last month Tesla also just opened the Berlin Gigafactory which is Tesla’s first factory in Europe.
Tesla itself moved its headquarters to Austin officially on December 1, but still operates its first electric car factory in Fremont, California.
Tesla, along with the rest of the automotive industry, also suffered from rising raw material prices which forced Tesla to increase the price of electric vehicles.
