Coca-Cola HBC Switzerland has taken a significant step toward sustainability by ordering 177 Skoda Enyaq electric vehicles for its sales representatives. With this acquisition, the company’s fleet will consist of 90% electric vehicles, reducing annual CO2 emissions by an estimated 700 tonnes, equivalent to an 88% decrease.

The first batch of 68 Enyaqs was delivered last week, with the remaining 109 scheduled to arrive in two further shipments this year. Skoda Switzerland confirmed the mix of rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive variants, though details on specific configurations remain undisclosed. The Enyaqs, equipped with a 77-kWh battery, offer a WLTP range exceeding 500 kilometers, ensuring suitability for the demands of Coca-Cola’s field operations.

“These vehicles meet our needs with their generous space, ideal range, high charging capacity, and cost-efficiency,” stated Skoda Switzerland. Each car comes with advanced features, including Matrix LED headlights, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, and driver-assistance systems such as Travel Assist and Traffic Jam Assist.

Jürg Burkhalter, General Manager of Coca-Cola HBC Switzerland, highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainability, saying, “By choosing a green fleet, we are once again making a strong statement about our commitment to sustainability. Our goal is to contribute to the vision of a more sustainable world, not only in mobility but across all our activities.” The company aims to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040.

The transition is supported by various partners. AMAG subsidiary Helion provides the ‘Charge:On’ charging infrastructure, enabling seamless charging at company sites, public stations, and employees’ homes. Leasing arrangements are managed by Arval, while vehicle delivery is facilitated by Skoda partner Auto-Trachsler in Wetzikon.
