Stellantis has decided on the strategic steps they will play in the electrification segment. One of them is to plan one of the brands under it to become a pure electric car.

Out of several brands under Stellantis, the Chrysler brand was chosen to represent the company in the electrification segment. Later, in 2028 they will shift all of the Chrysler line up to become an electric car by introducing a new model.

Chris Feuell, Chief Executive Officer of Stellantis, explained that before his party plays fully in electrification they will launch their first electric car product in 2025.

“The plan is that the brand will offer its first electric car in 2025. We completely changed the portfolio for Chrysler between 2025 and 2028,” explains Chris Feuell.

The concept electric car displayed by Chrysler is the Airflow. Through this model, the company wanted to offer a view towards brand design as it looked to reinvent itself to increase sales.

Still citing the page, the company, which was formed in January 2021, targets more than 70 percent of sales in Europe and more than 40 percent in the United States to become low-emission vehicles, either for the battery or hybrid EV segment by 2030.

In pursuing this roadmap, Stellantis has prepared an investment of USD 33.87 billion until 2025 to introduce electric cars in its model line-up.
