Zeekr will launch its Zeekr 9X, a large luxury hybrid SUV, on Sept. 29, marking its formal entry into the hybrid vehicle market, the company announced Monday on Weibo. The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. Beijing time.
The automaker has shipped display units of the Zeekr 9X to stores across China ahead of the launch. Pre-sales began on Aug. 29 during the Chengdu auto show, with prices starting at RMB 479,900 ($67,520). The 9X ranks among the most expensive models from a Chinese automaker.

Three trims are offered — Max, Ultra, and Hyper — priced at RMB 479,900, RMB 499,900, and RMB 569,900, respectively. Customers who pay a RMB 5,000 deposit before launch will receive a RMB 10,000 discount at final payment.
Zeekr said the model secured 42,667 pre-orders within the first hour of pre-sales. The six-seat SUV measures 5,239 mm in length, 2,019 mm in width, and 1,819 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,169 mm. It features a 2.0T plug-in hybrid powertrain paired with a 900-volt hybrid architecture and three silicon carbide motors delivering a peak output of 1,030 kW (1,381 horsepower). The vehicle accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 3.1 seconds.

Built on the new SEA-S platform, introduced by Zeekr in July as the industry’s first luxury hybrid architecture based on an all-electric platform, the 9X offers battery pack options of 55 kWh and 70 kWh. These provide a CLTC range of 300–380 km and support charging rates up to 6C, enabling a 20–80% charge in about nine minutes and a 10–80% charge in 10.3 minutes.
