Zeekr launched pre-sales of its updated Zeekr 001 shooting brake in China, introducing major upgrades to its powertrain and battery systems while keeping exterior styling largely unchanged.
Customers can reserve the model with a deposit of RMB 2,000 ($280) and will receive a RMB 7,000 discount on the final payment, the company said. Showroom models will be available starting October 4, ahead of the official launch on October 11. Zeekr did not disclose pricing details but said they are expected to remain unchanged from the current range of RMB 259,000 ($36,410) to RMB 329,000.
The updated Zeekr 001 is built on a 900-volt high-voltage architecture, replacing the 800-volt system of its predecessor. Based on Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA), the platform enables faster charging, improved efficiency and enhanced driving dynamics, the company said. The all-wheel-drive version produces up to 680 kW (912 hp) with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 2.83 seconds, compared with 580 kW and 3.3 seconds in the previous top variant.
Two battery options will be offered: the 95-kWh Zeekr Golden Battery with a CLTC range of 710 km, capable of charging from 10% to 80% in as little as seven minutes, and CATL’s 103-kWh Qilin Battery with a CLTC range of 810 km and a 10-minute charging time for the same interval. Both support high-rate flash charging and extended ranges, adding between 500 and 570 km in a single charge cycle.
The vehicle will also debut Zeekr’s G-Pilot H7 driver assistance system, which integrates 31 sensors including LiDAR. Its computing power is provided by Nvidia’s Drive Thor-U chip delivering 700 TOPS, a step up from the EyeQ5H and Drive Orin-based setup in the older model, which reached 508 TOPS.
