Premium electric vehicle maker Zeekr has opened pre-sales for the five-seat version of its flagship Zeekr 9X sport utility vehicle (SUV), adding a new configuration to broaden the model’s appeal in China’s luxury vehicle market.
The company announced the launch through its official social media channels, saying customers who place reservations during the pre-sales period will be eligible for incentives valued at up to 90,000 yuan (about $13,230). The package includes a complimentary Naim sound system and electric running boards.
Customers can also place a 5,000 yuan deposit that will be credited as a 10,000 yuan discount toward the vehicle’s final purchase price. Zeekr has not yet disclosed the pre-sales price for the new five-seat model.
New Configuration Targets More Luxury Buyers
The addition of the five-seat version complements the existing six-seat layout, giving buyers another option within the Zeekr 9X range.
The move comes as competition intensifies in China’s premium SUV market. Nio has also begun accepting reservations for the five-seat version of its ES8 large SUV, with its official launch scheduled for July 9 in Beijing.
Flagship Hybrid Model
The Zeekr 9X entered the market in September 2025 with a starting price of 465,900 yuan, marking the brand’s first hybrid vehicle.
Built on the hybrid version of Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA-S), the model features a 900-volt hybrid electrical architecture.
Higher-specification versions are equipped with a tri-motor electric drivetrain producing up to 1,030 kilowatts (1,381 horsepower), enabling the full-size luxury SUV to accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.1 seconds.
Strong Sales Performance
The Zeekr 9X has become a key model in the company’s expansion into the premium vehicle segment, with cumulative deliveries exceeding 60,000 units.
According to figures previously released by the company, the model led sales in China’s large SUV segment priced around 500,000 yuan for seven consecutive months through May.
Zeekr also said that, in the luxury vehicle segment priced above 500,000 yuan, the Zeekr 9X accounted for roughly one out of every three vehicles sold during the period.
