Zeekr has unveiled the updated Zeekr X compact SUV, offering longer driving range, improved performance, and lower prices to stay competitive in China’s fast-evolving electric vehicle (EV) market. The refreshed model now starts at RMB 145,800 ($20,460) after limited-time incentives, marking a RMB 3,200 ($470) or 2.15 percent reduction from its predecessor’s RMB 149,000 base price.

The new base variant of the Zeekr X features a 61.47-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, providing a CLTC range of 530 kilometers, up from the previous model’s 49-kWh pack and 420-kilometer range.

The compact SUV retains its dimensions — 4,450 mm in length, 1,836 mm in width, 1,572 mm in height, and a 2,750 mm wheelbase — and continues to target the urban premium segment dominated by Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi. Customers placing orders before December 31 qualify for a RMB 10,000 trade-in subsidy, bringing the starting price down to RMB 145,800.

Three variants are offered — the Max five-seat, Max four-seat, and Ultra five-seat — priced at RMB 155,800, RMB 159,800, and RMB 175,800 respectively. The two single-motor versions produce 250 kW (335 horsepower) and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, while the dual-motor model delivers 365 kW and completes the same sprint in 3.69 seconds.

The dual-motor version uses a 66-kWh ternary lithium battery with a 512-kilometer CLTC range. Charging from 10 to 80 percent takes 15 minutes for the single-motor versions and 30 minutes for the dual-motor version.

Initially launched in April 2023, the Zeekr X has seen rapid updates, with the 2024 model introduced in January 2024 and the 2025 version in July. The 2026 update continues Zeekr’s trend of fast iteration and aggressive pricing to maintain its position in the competitive Chinese EV landscape, where limited-time incentives often evolve into lasting price cuts.
