Zeekr (NYSE: ZK) has postponed the launch of the refreshed Zeekr 007 electric sedan to the second quarter of 2026, as the company focuses on maintaining production and deliveries of its current model following a packed schedule of new product rollouts.
The company announced the decision in a Q&A session posted on Weibo, stating that it would prioritize ensuring customer deliveries for the existing Zeekr 007. The model, which debuted in December 2023, marked Zeekr’s entry into the mainstream electric vehicle (EV) market and is built on an 800-volt high-voltage architecture that allows for rapid charging and extended range.

Zeekr has experienced a period of intense new model activity. In recent months, it introduced the Zeekr 9X luxury hybrid SUV—its first hybrid model—on September 29, followed by the updated Zeekr 001 on October 11, and commenced pre-sales for the updated Zeekr 7X on October 20, ahead of its official launch on October 28.

The forthcoming update for the Zeekr 007, first announced in August, will feature refined exterior and interior styling but retain its existing battery and powertrain systems, along with the advanced driver assistance suite. The delay underscores Zeekr’s focus on delivery reliability and product quality as it continues to expand its growing EV lineup.
