Geely’s Zeekr brand has announced that their new MPV, the Zeekr 009, has been selected as the official vehicle for the upcoming 19th Asian Games. The electric vehicle will be used to shuttle members of the International Olympic Committee, the Olympic Council of Asia, and famous athletes during the Hangzhou Asian Games, which are set to begin in September.

From a mechanical perspective, the Zeekr 009 boasts a 400 kW dual electric motor and all-wheel drive, delivering impressive acceleration of 0-100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds.
This electric motor is powered by a lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt battery with a 140 kWh capacity, providing a maximum range of 822 km. Alternatively, Geely offers a 116 kWh battery with a range of 700 km that can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in only 28 minutes using the hypercharger.
The Zeekr 009 has a distinctive exterior design featuring a large Rolls-Royce-inspired grille and two headlights with 154 inverted ‘U’-shaped LEDs. It also has large sliding doors on either side and a full-width lightbar at the back.

Inside, the MPV has a three-row cabin layout with six leather-wrapped seats that have massage function and a table in the second row. A 15.6-inch screen is mounted on the roof in the second row. The infotainment system comprises a 10.25-inch instrument cluster that merges into a 15.4-inch central display.
Other technological features include an AI assistant, voice and facial recognition, and a driver assist system with various safety functions. Additionally, it comes equipped with a 20-speaker Yamaha surround sound system.
