Zeekr, the premium electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary of Geely Holding Group, has recently introduced an upgraded version of its Zeekr 009 Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV), just days after the launch of the enhanced Zeekr X urban SUV.
The Zeekr 009, originally launched on November 1, 2022, is the second model in Zeekr’s lineup, following the Zeekr 001, with deliveries commencing in February 2023. In the latest update, Zeekr continues to offer the Zeekr 009 in two trims, namely WE and ME.

While the core specifications of the Zeekr 009 remain unchanged, Zeekr has made a marginal adjustment to the starting price. The WE version is now priced at RMB 500,000, representing a slight increase of RMB 1,000 ($140), and the ME version maintains its starting price at RMB 588,000.
Both versions of the Zeekr 009 are equipped with Li-ion ternary batteries, featuring pack capacities of 116 kWh and 140 kWh. The CLTC ranges for these versions are 702 km and 822 km, respectively. Notably, the 140-kWh battery pack is the Qilin Battery, released by CATL in June 2022, while the 116-kWh pack is a regular ternary battery.
In a move aimed at enhancing customer value, Zeekr has made certain features that were previously paid options, such as digital rearview mirrors, power-adjustable steering wheel, front passenger seat comfort package, and double-pane acoustic glass for the third row, now standard in both trims.
The company’s swift product updates align with its strategy, exemplified by the recently revamped Zeekr X, which saw the elimination of the lower-priced entry version and a reduction in the price of the other two versions. The 2024 Zeekr X was introduced on January 10, just nine months after its initial release.
Zeekr’s commitment to refining and expanding its EV offerings reflects the dynamic nature of the electric vehicle market, with a focus on delivering improved features and value to its customers.
