In July 2023, XPeng Inc., the prominent Chinese smart electric vehicle manufacturer, achieved notable success with its vehicle delivery figures, marking the sixth consecutive month of delivery growth. The company recorded a total of 11,008 Smart EVs delivered during the month, reflecting a substantial 28% increase compared to the previous month.

A significant contributor to XPeng’s impressive performance was the successful market launch of the G6 Ultra Smart Coupe SUV in late June. In July, the G6 witnessed mass deliveries across 110 cities nationwide, reaching a commendable milestone of more than 3,900 units delivered. The popularity of the G6 model generated a surge in showroom visits, further boosting customers’ enthusiasm for other XPeng Smart EV models and the advanced smart technology integrated within them.

To meet the surging demand for the G6, XPeng is actively focusing on ramping up production, ensuring that its manufacturing facilities operate at full capacity. The company has also allocated dedicated logistics resources to expedite G6 deliveries, ensuring prompt and efficient service to their customers.

In a strategic move to foster future growth and innovation, XPeng joined hands with the renowned automobile manufacturer Volkswagen on July 26. The long-term strategic partnership aims to co-develop two B-class battery electric vehicle models under the Volkswagen brand specifically for the Chinese market.

Both XPeng and Volkswagen are leveraging their core competencies for this collaboration, with XPeng contributing its G9 platform, as well as its expertise in connectivity and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) software. The partnership is anticipated to create multiple synergies, including cost efficiencies in the supply chain, development of novel vehicle models, and the implementation of cutting-edge technologies. This alliance underscores the shared commitment of both companies to driving advancements in the electric vehicle industry in China.
