Xpeng has just announced that it has reached the milestone of producing 100,000 units for the P7 model. This achievement is in itself a record for the P7 . smart sports sedan
The Xpeng P7 was first launched on April 27, 2020 and its 100,000th production took place 695 days after its official debut. This achievement is a record for a pure electric vehicle from a new car brand in China.
To mark its 100,000th production, Xpeng also launched the “black label edition” P7 562E at the Zhaoqing factory. This special edition is in all black and is equipped with the XPILOT 3.0 driver assistance hardware system with Navigation Guided Pilot (NGP) and Valet Parking Assist (VPA).
The P7 562E “Black Label Edition” will be officially launched in China on April 10, 2022. The Xpeng P7 has a 5-star safety rating with a total score of 89.4 percent and the highest active safety score of 98.51 percent among electric vehicles in China.
The Xpeng P7 also received a 5-star rating from the intelligent vehicle testing platform i-VISTA (Intelligent Vehicle Integrated Systems Test Area) in China with four “Excellent” ratings in intelligent driving, intelligent safety, intelligent interaction and intelligent energy efficiency.
The Xpeng P7 also scores “Excellent” in lane change assistance, AEB emergency braking, LDW (Lane Departure Warning), as well as in the smoothness and richness of the touchscreen and voice interaction.
Previously, Xpeng has received pre-orders for the P5 electric sedan in four European countries to continue its aggressive international expansion to rival Tesla.
P5, first introduced a year ago in China. Starting Thursday, the P5 can be ordered by customers in Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden, via the Xpeng mobile app and website.
