XPeng has resumed its international expansion by launching its two latest models in Europe. The company has made its G9 flagship SUV and the P7 sports sedan available for ordering in Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, and Sweden.

The vehicles were showcased at the recent eCar Expo held in Stockholm from February 3rd to 5th, giving European customers a glimpse of XPeng’s cutting-edge technology and sleek design. This move marks a significant step for XPeng in its pursuit of establishing a strong presence in the European market.

“XPeng G9 and P7 bring a combination of superior styling, quality, performance and comfort, exemplifying our market-leading technology and innovation. Today also represents a significant milestone as we build our presence in Europe,” said Brian Gu, vice chairman and president of the company.

“We believe both vehicles deliver a new level of sophistication and a people-first mobility experience, and will be the electric vehicles of choice for many European customers,” Gu added.

The updated version of the P7 makes its debut, yet to be officially launched in China, the home market of XPeng. The launch of the new P7 is expected in March, according to a source. The XPeng G9 was launched in China on September 21, 2022 and began deliveries on October 27.

Both models are designed to meet high safety standards, including the E-NCAP five-star safety rating and strict EU WVTA vehicle certification.

With a charging speed of up to 300 kW, drivers can add 100 kilometers of range in just five minutes. The 98-kWh battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 20 minutes. The rear-wheel-drive long-range version of the G9 has a range of 570 km on a single charge according to the WLTP cycle.

The all-wheel-drive version of the G9 is also a powerhouse, with up to 551 hp and 717 Nm of torque. It can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. It can even be fitted with an electric tow bar, making it suitable for towing loads of up to 1,500 kg, perfect for the European lifestyle.

It also features an all-wheel drive version with a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 4.1 seconds, Brembo brakes, and a range of color styles including an exclusive Wing Edition with scissor doors. Additional features include a power tailgate, soft-close doors, a heat pump, and a heated steering wheel for easy winter driving.

The XPeng G9 and P7 both feature XPILOT, a cutting-edge driver assistance system that offers support for safety, driving and parking. With 29 sensors, including high-def radars, ultrasonic sensors, cameras, and more, the vehicles can navigate a range of driving conditions. Xmart OS, the upgraded in-car system, includes a 3D UI in English, Dutch, Danish, Norwegian, or Swedish and an improved voice assistant that can respond to commands from all parts of the car. In-car screens and a range of applications offer information and entertainment. The vehicles also support easy OTA updates for software and firmware improvements.
