Chinese electric vehicle maker Xpeng became the top-selling Chinese brand in Denmark in November, the company said, marking the first time it has led monthly sales among Chinese automakers in the Nordic country as competition in Europe’s EV market intensifies.

Xpeng ranked first among Chinese brands by monthly sales in Denmark, extending several consecutive months of growth in a market with fewer than 20,000 new vehicle registrations per month and an electric vehicle penetration rate of more than 65%. The company attributed the performance to demand for its G6 and G9 sport utility vehicles, despite having entered the Danish market less than three years ago.

The sales milestone comes as Xpeng accelerates its European expansion. In September, the company began local electric vehicle production in Europe, with its first models assembled at a plant operated by Magna in Graz. During the same month, Xpeng said it would enter five additional European markets—Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia—broadening its regional presence.

From January to November 2025, Xpeng delivered 39,773 vehicles in overseas markets, representing a 95% year-on-year increase, the company said. Its sales and service network now covers 52 countries and regions, supported by 321 overseas outlets. In November, new vehicle registrations in Europe exceeded 2,000 units, which the company described as a milestone in its globalisation strategy.

Xpeng delivered 36,728 vehicles in November, maintaining near-record monthly volumes despite a slowdown from October. Deliveries rose 18.88% from a year earlier but fell 12.58% from the previous month, according to company data. From January through November, total deliveries reached 391,937 vehicles, up 155.54% year on year, as the automaker seeks to expand abroad and move toward profitability.
