Chinese electric vehicle maker Xpeng has introduced an updated version of its X9 multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) in Malaysia, expanding its lineup in the Southeast Asian market just a week after unveiling the refreshed G6 SUV.

The updated X9 is available in Standard Range 2WD Pro, Long Range 2WD Pro, and Long Range 2WD Pro Plus variants, priced at RM 279,888 ($66,180), RM 297,888, and RM 313,888, respectively.

The MPV offers a WLTP range between 500 and 590 kilometers and supports DC fast charging up to 317 kW, according to Xpeng Malaysia’s website. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds.

Initially launched in China on January 1, 2024, as Xpeng’s first MPV, the X9 was updated in April with the 2025 model year version, starting at RMB 359,800 ($50,500).

Xpeng has also announced plans to introduce an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) version of the X9, combining a 63.3-kWh battery with a 60-liter fuel tank to deliver a total range of 1,602 kilometers.
