Chinese electric vehicle maker Xpeng said it has made further progress in expanding its presence across the Middle East and Africa, announcing new market entries, partnerships and infrastructure investments as part of its overseas growth strategy.
The company recently held a brand launch event in Doha, marking its official entry into the Qatari market. Xpeng said the move represents a key step in deepening its footprint in the Middle East, positioning Qatar as a strategic gateway for future regional expansion. The company also showcased products from its flying car subsidiary, Aridge, at the event.

“Qatar will serve as a vital gateway for us to connect with global users, showcase cutting-edge smart technologies, and deliver premium mobility experiences,” said Wang Ke, general manager of Xpeng’s Middle East and Africa operations.
Xpeng signed an agreement in September designating Pioneer Motors, a subsidiary of Qatar’s Almana Group, as its exclusive distributor in the country. The automaker previously said it plans to introduce models including the G9, G6 and P7 in the Qatari market.

The company also announced a strategic partnership with Axess Limited, a Mauritian distributor, marking its formal entry into the East African market. Xpeng said the cooperation would strengthen its regional sales and service network and provide operational experience to support future expansion across Africa.
Beyond new market entries, Xpeng has continued to expand its physical presence in the region. Earlier this month, the company opened a flagship experience center in Abu Dhabi aimed at enhancing brand visibility and customer engagement. It has also launched a new showroom and service center in Egypt, covering a combined area of 2,400 square meters, making it the largest Xpeng service facility in the Middle East and Africa.

In addition, the company has established an accessories warehouse in Dubai to support faster parts supply for models such as the G6 and G9.
Xpeng said these developments form part of a broader strategy to build a comprehensive sales, service and support network across the Middle East and Africa as it accelerates its global expansion.
