Xiaomi’s highly anticipated YU7 electric SUV is nearing launch, following its certification by China’s MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology), according to a leak from Digital Chat Station.
The YU7 marks the company’s second-generation EV, following the SU7 sedan, and is expected to introduce new design elements and advanced driving technology.

Leaked images suggest that the YU7 adopts a sporty SUV form factor, featuring carbon-fiber accents on the rear spoiler, side mirrors, and headlights. The vehicle is expected to come in multiple trims, including a Max variant, possibly equipped with a 691-horsepower powertrain. Badge details indicate the model name will be displayed in either silver or matte black, with the Max designation in red.
The YU7 will prominently feature Xiaomi branding, including the Mi logo and Chinese script, alongside a Hyper Autonomous Driving (HAD) emblem on the side panel. Xiaomi appears to be emphasizing customization, with the MIIT filing revealing 26 different wheel options, mostly based on a six-spoke design with varying accents.

These wheels are available in colors ranging from white to rose pink, potentially aligning with body color choices beyond the navy blue seen in leaks. Additionally, buyers may have a choice between red or yellow brake calipers.
With regulatory approval secured, the YU7 could soon debut alongside the SU7 Ultra in China, further expanding Xiaomi’s footprint in the electric vehicle market.
