Xiaomi Auto has reached a major production milestone, delivering 300,000 vehicles in China just 15 months after entering the market, the company said. The figure marks a sharp rise in delivery pace as the company continues expanding its electric vehicle (EV) lineup and manufacturing capacity.
The announcement comes as Xiaomi Auto, the automotive division of Chinese tech giant Xiaomi founded by chairman Lei Jun in 2021, pushes forward with its EV strategy. Its debut model, the SU7 electric sedan, launched in March 2024, quickly gained popularity, helping drive strong sales. In February 2025, the company added the SU7 Ultra sports car to its portfolio, followed by the YU7 crossover in late June, with deliveries beginning July 6.

Xiaomi said it had delivered an average of 647 vehicles per day since launch, increasing to 840 units daily in 2025, up from 511 per day in 2024. “It is more than one vehicle delivered every two minutes,” company officials noted in a statement.
The brand’s cumulative delivery volume has accelerated rapidly. It took Xiaomi over seven months to reach 100,000 deliveries, four more months to surpass 200,000, and just another three and a half months to hit 300,000. The SU7 sedan continues to represent the bulk of sales, as the YU7 has only recently begun deliveries and the more expensive SU7 Ultra commands lower demand.

Delivery times remain lengthy. According to Xiaomi Auto’s app, customers may wait 33–42 weeks for the SU7, 6–18 weeks for the SU7 Ultra, and 40–60 weeks for the new YU7 crossover.
Xiaomi Auto has delivered 160,513 vehicles so far in 2025 and has completed 45.7% of its annual sales target of 350,000 units. The company expects to increase production further with the launch of its second manufacturing facility in Beijing.
