Xiaomi has revealed the first full exterior images of the N90, the debut model in its new Sky Nomad vehicle lineup, marking the company’s expansion beyond its existing SU7 and YU7 series.
The company described the N90 as a “smart, versatile large-space SUV” and confirmed that Sky Nomad will serve as Xiaomi EV’s second product lineup rather than a standalone sub-brand.
The newly released images show a large SUV with a boxy design, roof-mounted LiDAR sensor and Xiaomi branding on the hood, while the Sky Nomad name is displayed prominently at the front of the vehicle.
Designed as a Living Space
Xiaomi founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Lei Jun said the new lineup has been developed over three and a half years with a different design philosophy from the company’s current models.
“While the SU7/YU7 lineup is a driver’s car, the Sky Nomad lineup was honed over three and a half years and is intended to create a living space.”
According to Lei, when parked, the N90 can function as “a studio for one, a café for two, a living room for three, or a playground for the whole family.”
Xiaomi also revealed the SUV’s interior, featuring rotating front seats and a small table that can be positioned between the front and second rows to create a lounge-style cabin layout.
Expected Extended-Range Powertrain
The N90 adopts a more rugged appearance than the SU7 sedan and YU7 SUV, departing from the brand’s previous design language.
Reservation inquiries for the model opened on Thursday.
Local media reports indicate the vehicle, internally known as Kunlun N3, will be a full-size extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) measuring more than 5.3 meters in length.
The SUV is expected to feature a battery pack with a capacity exceeding 70 kWh, delivering an estimated electric-only driving range of between 400 and 500 kilometers. Xiaomi has not yet disclosed official powertrain specifications.
Expansion Strategy
The N90 is expected to be priced from approximately 200,000 yuan, placing it in competition with extended-range SUVs offered by Li Auto and Huawei-backed Aito.
Earlier this year, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology approved Xiaomi EV to manufacture extended-range electric passenger vehicles at its Beijing production facility, expanding beyond its previous battery electric vehicle production.
The Sky Nomad lineup forms part of Xiaomi’s broader growth strategy for 2026, with the company targeting annual vehicle deliveries of 550,000 units, representing an increase of about 34% compared with approximately 410,000 vehicles delivered in 2025.
