Chinese technology group Xiaomi is aiming to deliver 550,000 vehicles in 2026, as demand for its existing electric models grows and the company prepares to broaden its automotive lineup with several new launches.
The target was announced by Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s founder, chairman and chief executive, during a livestream over the weekend. The goal implies an increase of about 34% from the more than 410,000 vehicles the company expects to deliver in 2025.

For 2025, Xiaomi’s electric vehicle unit had set a delivery target of 350,000 units, which it reached ahead of schedule in early December. The company said on Jan. 1 that it delivered more than 50,000 vehicles in December alone, a monthly record, though it did not disclose an exact figure. More detailed data are expected later this month from the China Passenger Car Association.
Xiaomi formally entered the automotive sector in 2021 and, despite being a late entrant among Chinese electric vehicle makers, has emerged as one of the fastest-growing players in the market. Its EV unit posted its first quarterly profit in the third quarter, when deliveries climbed to nearly 109,000 vehicles, according to financial results released in November.

The company currently sells the SU7 electric sedan, which competes with Tesla’s Model 3, and the YU7 sport utility vehicle, positioned against the Model Y. Local media outlet 36Kr reported in December that Xiaomi plans to introduce four new models in 2026, including updated and extended-range versions of the SU7 and two new SUVs, as part of its strategy to sustain growth in an increasingly competitive Chinese EV market.
