Xiaomi’s electric vehicle unit recorded deliveries above 40,000 units in November for the third straight month, underscoring continued momentum for the company’s automotive ambitions in China’s highly competitive new energy vehicle market.
The EV arm of Xiaomi disclosed the milestone on its official Weibo account without releasing precise figures. The company previously reported deliveries of 41,948 vehicles in September, its first time exceeding the 40,000 threshold, followed by a record 48,654 units in October. Official November data is expected to be released later this month alongside industry figures from the China Passenger Car Association.

Alongside rising sales, Xiaomi EV is accelerating the expansion of its physical retail and service infrastructure. The company added 17 new stores in November, lifting its nationwide total to 441 outlets across 131 Chinese cities. It plans to open another 36 stores in December, targeting seven additional cities. As of the end of November, Xiaomi EV operated 249 service centers in 144 cities nationwide.
Xiaomi formally entered the electric vehicle market in 2024 with the launch of the SU7 electric sedan, positioned directly against Tesla’s Model 3. The company later introduced the performance-oriented SU7 Ultra in February and followed with its first electric SUV, the YU7, in June as a rival to Tesla’s Model Y.

Software development has also been a key focus. Last month, Xiaomi EV began rolling out an enhanced version of its Hyper Autonomous Driving (HAD) driver assistance system to eligible vehicles. The upgraded system incorporates reinforcement learning and a world-model framework to improve driving behavior through large-scale simulation and data training across a wide range of traffic scenarios.
