Chinese technology company Xiaomi has introduced the SU7 Ultra, an enhanced version of its SU7 electric sedan, targeting the luxury electric vehicle (EV) sector. The SU7 Ultra is priced at 529,900 yuan ($72,931.72), representing a 35% reduction from its initial pre-sale price of 814,900 yuan.
Pre-orders for the SU7 Ultra commenced at 10 p.m. Beijing time, requiring a deposit of 20,000 yuan. Customers who place orders by March 31 are eligible for benefits valued up to 90,000 yuan. Within 10 minutes of opening, the model received over 6,900 orders, as reported by Xiaomi’s EV division on Weibo.

The SU7 Ultra is equipped with three electric motors, delivering a combined power output of 1,548 horsepower. This configuration enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.98 seconds and a top speed exceeding 350 km/h. The vehicle features a 93.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, offering a CLTC range of up to 630 kilometers. The battery supports fast charging, reaching 80% capacity from 10% in 11 minutes.
Xiaomi’s founder and CEO, Lei Jun, stated that the SU7 Ultra aims to rival the performance of established luxury brands. In October, a prototype of the SU7 Ultra set a new record at Germany’s Nürburgring track, completing the circuit in 6 minutes and 46.874 seconds, and was recognized as the fastest four-door car at that time.

The company plans to begin deliveries of the SU7 Ultra promptly following the official launch. Xiaomi has set a sales target of 10,000 units for the SU7 Ultra in 2025 and aims to deliver 300,000 vehicles across its EV lineup within the same year.
In addition to the SU7 Ultra, Xiaomi is expected to introduce the YU7 electric SUV in mid-2025, expanding its presence in the EV market.
